Aberdovey Attractions and Activities
Aberdyfi was recently voted the third most beautiful village in Britain and you can see why by looking at a short video.
The River Dyfi reaches the sea here in a wide estuary with hills on both banks and an expanse of sky.
Miles of clean golden sand and sheltered dunes offer innocent fun for children - donkey rides, paddling, building sandcastles and crabbing off the jetty. There are activites for all ages, some, like wind surfing, more strenuous than others. The village is unspoilt with quaint old streets rising up to spectacular viewpoints. You can enjoy browsing in specialist boutiques and art galleries and dine in exceptional inns and restaurants.
We even get good weather! The estuary location means mild winters and a lot less rain than other parts of Wales. You will not forget your first sight of Aberdyfi nestling by the sparkling water and you will certainly return time and time again.
